Dr Tom Bryden joined IGI on the 17th of March 2025. Tom, an electronic engineer by training, specialised in energy technology, especially optimisation of power and battery networks. He has experience of deploying, managing and visualising real-time sensor data, especially in power limited environments. He joins IGI after completing a postdoctoral research position in Oxford University and will be based near Kettering in the East Midlands.
In IGI, Tom will spearhead the acquisition and capture of near real-time sensor data, and it's integration within the wider Smart Biosphere platform. He will also explore funding opportunities to support the development of the platform. We welcome Tom to the team and look forward to learning more about sensors and sensing!
